Surgical Scheduling Coordinator

Overview Under the supervision of the Healthcare Leadership, the person directs, coordinates and facilitates the surgical scheduling activities of all clinic physicians. Utilizes appropriate administrative, financial and operational policies and procedures to facilitate continuity of care for the surgical patient. Acts as liaison between the department and other surgical and financial areas. Qualifications Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Education: Medical Terminology Course. Necessary Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of specialty surgical procedures with associated acuity levels and specialized equipment, ancillary services and staffing needs. Required Experience: 1 year of experience scheduling in a healthcare environment. Preferred Experience: Experience in electronic surgical scheduling program a plus. Required Licensure/Certifications: CPC (Certified Procedural Coder) certification required within 12 months of hire or transfer. Preferred Licensure/Certifications: N/A. #J-18808-Ljbffr UF Health
