Job Description
David Morgan & Associates, Inc., a community engagement and voter-contact firm, is hiring Community Outreach Phone Representatives for a short-term voter education and outreach phone program serving the greater Los Angeles area. Representatives contact residents by telephone using approved scripts, share program information, record responses accurately, and refer any questions they cannot answer to a supervisor. This is a phone-based position. There is no door-to-door or field work.
Compensation & Schedule
- $23.00 per hour
- 6 paid hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid meal break (6.5 hours on site)
- 5 workdays per week; the program operates 7 days a week including weekends, with rotating days off
- Temporary / seasonal position running through early November 2026; paid training the week of September 15
- Paid training is required before starting
Responsibilities
- Make outbound community-outreach calls using approved scripts and call lists
- Accurately record the outcome of each call
- Meet attendance, productivity, quality and data-accuracy standards
- Protect confidential contact information
- Take part in required training, role-play and coaching
Qualifications
- Clear, confident and courteous telephone manner
- Strong listening skills; stays professional with people who disagree
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Able to follow a script accurately without improvising
- Comfortable with a basic computer and dialer / data-entry system
- Prior phone banking, call-center, customer-service or community-outreach experience a plus
