ASSISTANT DESIGNER

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will support the Lead Designer in various aspects of the design process, including tech pack creation, design approvals, fittings, and the development of children’s clothing designs and prints. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry while contributing to a brand dedicated to high-quality and imaginative children’s apparel. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Lead Designer in creating and updating tech packs for children's apparel, ensuring all specifications are accurate and comprehensive. Collaborate with the Lead Designer to develop innovative designs and prints that cater to our target audience. Manage the filing system for design documents, ensuring easy access and organization of all materials related to the design process. Participate in design reviews and assist in the approval process, providing input and feedback as needed. Research trends in children's fashion and textile design to inform and inspire new collections. Prepare presentation materials and assist in meetings with internal teams and external partners. Support the production process by coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers regarding design specifications and timelines. Maintain a thorough understanding of the brand's aesthetic and target market to align design efforts with overall company goals. Assist in the development and implementation of design concepts from ideation through to completion. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. Previous experience in fashion design, internships, or relevant coursework, particularly in children’s clothing design. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and any other relevant tools. Strong understanding of tech pack creation and garment construction processes. Creative mindset with a passion for children's fashion and design. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
