Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist provides day-to-day HR support. This role serves as a resource for employees and managers and assists with recruiting, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, HRIS, and company policies. The HR Generalist works closely with the HR team to help ensure a positive employee experience and consistent HR practices. Description and Responsibilities: Our client is seeking an Human Resources Generalist. They are looking for a promotable leader who thrives at being a hands-on leader. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Manage day-to-day benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, qualifying events, and employee questions. Coordinate employee leaves, including FMLA, STD, PFL, and other leave requests, ensuring timely documentation and communication. Provide first-line HR support for employee relations matters, performance concerns, and corrective action. Partner with managers and employees to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures. Maintain accurate HRIS records, monitor Paycom transactions, and assist with reporting, audits, and data cleanup. Identify HR trends and compliance issues, troubleshoot benefits/HRIS concerns, and elevate more complex matters to HR leadership. Qualifications: The qualified candidate will possess most of the following traits: 3+ years of progressive HR/Generalist experience preferred Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience Experience with benefits, leave administration, and HRIS systems Strong communication, organization, documentation, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities, support employee relations, and work in a fast-paced environment Company Profile: Our client is one of the most recognizable brands in American home and lifestyle retail, with a passionate customer base and a strong heritage of quality and design.
