Human Resources Generalist

Overview Full Job Description The Human Resources Generalist will provide administrative support and guidance to the human resource function while helping ensure best practices are maintained. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, benefits administration, and employee support. Responsibilities Deep knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, including the ability to identify root causes and corrective actions in a timely manner Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of multistate payroll processing while maintaining operational and compliance standards Maintain employee records, including processing payroll updates for new hires, terminations, pay changes, and employee status changes Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other deductions Manage leave programs including FMLA, STD, and LTD; ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, timely, and forwarded to the appropriate parties Track and document leave hours to ensure employees receive proper leave balances and payouts Verify compliance with federal and state payroll requirements and remain current with changes in regulations and legislation Ensure accurate and timely completion of quarterly and year-end payroll reporting Handle new state payroll setup as needed Provide administrative support in the areas of staffing, onboarding, personnel records, and HR correspondence Administer benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, while ensuring accurate recordkeeping and payroll deductions Support HR system integrations, process improvements, and technology enhancements Assist with maintaining organized and audit-ready HR documentation and records Provide exceptional customer service to employees, managers and both internal and external business partners Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tasks accurately and consistently follow through to completion Ability to prioritize responsibilities independently and proactively communicate status updates and potential issues Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and customer-service-oriented approach Intermediate Excel skills preferred, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data organization Proficient with payroll software Multistate payroll knowledge required Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable learning and utilizing HR technology and systems to improve efficiency and organization Preferred Skills/Abilities Experience using ADP Workforce Now preferred Experience supporting HR and payroll system integrations strongly preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred Two years of experience in payroll administration/processing required Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Benefits PTO Medical Dental Vision Matching 401k #J-18808-Ljbffr
