Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Valid compact or state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Med/Surg experience - Experience with rapid response and code teams - Proficient in peripheral line care and management - Familiarity with nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management - Knowledge of oxygen administration and use of oxygen tanks - Understanding of isolation precautions and PPE Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical care. The nurse will work night shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts. The role involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients. The daily census is approximately 28 patients. The unit has a total of 30 beds. The registered nurse will be expected to float to different units as needed. The patient-to-nurse ratio during shifts will be maintained at a manageable level. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Candidates must provide two professional references, including one from a manager or director. The candidate must complete fingerprinting as part of the onboarding process. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
