Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown of a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- Cardiac telemetry patient population requiring drip titration and management
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required between units, with priority given to Telemetry or Med-Surg floors when overstaffed
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown nursing experience required
- Cardiac drip titration and management experience is a hardstop requirement
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care within a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Facility is a teaching hospital with 629 staffed beds
- Scrub color for RNs is any color
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
- Must reside within 50 miles to be considered for local candidate status at a lower bill rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
