Empower students in their educational journey by providing specialized support across two high schools and one elementary campus. In this contract position, you’ll work 40 hours per week with a balanced schedule—half your week at Westmoreland Campus, focusing on special education, and the other half at Lane schools, encouraging socialization and inclusion.

Your primary role involves supporting students in life skills programming, serving a caseload of approximately 33 students. While experience in feeding and swallowing (safe eating) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is preferred, passionate professionals who are willing to learn are also encouraged to apply as training can be provided. Enjoy access to established resources: collaborate virtually with a community of 12 dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists, engage in monthly professional development, and benefit from hands-on assistance from special education staff and paraprofessionals.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active SLP licensure and credentials (CCC-SLP) for school settings
• Experience with school-aged populations, ideally in special education and life skills
• Interest or practice in feeding/swallowing and AAC (preferred but not required)
• Commitment to on-site support (no virtual/hybrid work)
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct assessment and intervention services to students with diverse needs
• Contribute to individualized educational plans, collaborating with school staff and families
• Promote student growth in communication, safe eating, and social skills
• Document progress and maintain compliance with all relevant guidelines
