Work Environment

This role will primarily be conducted remotely, allowing for flexibility while ensuring consistent support to students. While the position is remote, you will be part of a cohesive and collaborative team that includes educators, psychologists, and other mental health professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with educators, school counselors, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students’ emotional and mental health status, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on coping strategies, social skills development, and emotional regulation.
• Provide education and support to families regarding mental health resources, helping them navigate available services and interventions.
• Continuously assess and adjust treatment plans based on student progress and feedback, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Remain informed about the latest advancements in mental health practices and contribute to the development of internal training resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents within the school system, addressing a range of emotional and behavioral challenges. This population often experiences unique stressors, such as academic pressures, social dynamics, and family issues. Your expertise will help students build resilience and develop effective coping strategies in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active LCSW license in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical evaluations, treatment planning, and delivering therapeutic interventions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in clinical settings, particularly within educational environments.
• Experience with specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and experience advocating for student needs in educational settings.

Compensation and Benefits
