Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Comfort Corner, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing various psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to assess and treat diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders for individuals and families.

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to inform the development of personalized treatment plans that meet clients' needs.

• Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adjusting approaches based on each patient's specific treatment plan.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy services provided, adhering to facility and professional standards.

• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team during treatment meetings to ensure cohesive care tailored to each client.

• Possibly providing services in differing settings, as required, to meet the needs of the clients.

• Demonstrating a professional, empathetic attitude towards clients, addressing any concerns and striving for their satisfaction.

Your work will encompass a diverse client base, ranging from children and adolescents to adults, each facing unique emotional and psychological challenges. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

• Valid state licensure as a professional therapy provider (LMFT, LPC, LCSW).

• Demonstrated competence in providing therapeutic services across the lifespan.

Preferred Experience\n

While experience working with diverse populations is essential, familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities (such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Family Systems Therapy) and knowledge of mental health challenges unique to children and adolescents will enhance your candidacy.
