Head of PR & Influencer Employment Type: Full-Time - Hybrid NYC Job Description Our client, a high-growth beauty and wellness brand, is seeking a strategic, culturally fluent Head of PR & Influencer to lead earned media, creator partnerships, and brand reputation. This leader will build a compelling external narrative, strengthen visibility across priority audiences, and create measurable programs that support product launches, community growth, and long-term brand equity. Brand Narrative & Media Develop and lead an integrated communications strategy spanning earned media, executive visibility, brand storytelling, and cultural relevance. Define and evolve the brand’s external narrative across beauty, wellness, lifestyle, business, and culture media. Create and manage an annual PR roadmap aligned with product introductions, seasonal campaigns, retail moments, and key business priorities. Lead media relations, including proactive pitching, press releases, briefing documents, interview preparation, and issue-response communications. Build strong relationships with editors, journalists, producers, creators, and industry partners across print, digital, broadcast, podcast, and emerging channels. Oversee product seeding and editorial engagement strategies that increase meaningful organic coverage. Identify newsworthy opportunities, thought-leadership platforms, and cultural moments that elevate the brand’s presence. Influencer & Creator Strategy Own and continuously refine the influencer and creator strategy, balancing brand awareness, community engagement, content quality, and measurable business impact. Develop long-term creator, ambassador, and advocacy programs that foster authentic storytelling and sustained affinity. Identify, evaluate, and activate high-impact creator, celebrity, and talent partnerships that align with the brand’s values and audience. Establish clear partnership frameworks, including briefs, deliverables, usage rights, measurement plans, and ROI expectations. Manage influencer budgets, negotiate partnership terms, and maintain strong relationships with agencies, talent representatives, and platform partners. Partner with Social, Creative, and Marketing teams to ensure creator content supports broader campaign and channel strategies. Operations, Measurement & Agency Leadership Lead and develop a high-performing PR and influencer team, establishing clear priorities, workflows, and accountability. Manage external PR agencies, influencer vendors, and specialist partners to ensure high-quality execution and measurable results. Own communications and influencer budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation. Build reporting frameworks for earned media, creator performance, share of voice, sentiment, reach, engagement, and business impact. Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for future campaigns, partnerships, and investment decisions. Drive integrated planning across Marketing, Social, Creative, Product, and Retail teams to ensure consistent execution across touchpoints. Qualifications Significant experience leading public relations, communications, influencer marketing, or integrated brand partnerships within beauty, wellness, consumer, or lifestyle sectors. Demonstrated success developing media strategies and creator programs that build brand relevance and deliver measurable outcomes. Established relationships across relevant media, creator, talent, and agency networks. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills. Highly organized with experience managing budgets, agencies, timelines, and multiple high-visibility initiatives.
