Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Bright View, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Group Therapy: You will lead engaging group sessions focused on topics relevant to young adults, fostering a space for connection, learning, and mutual support.

• Individual Therapy: You will conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, offering clients tailored sessions that explore their personal experiences, thoughts, and emotional challenges, while helping them establish coping mechanisms and actionable plans for improvement.

• Treatment Planning: Collaborating with clients, you will create individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans that target their specific needs and aspirations.

• Progress Monitoring: Utilizing various assessment tools and feedback mechanisms, you will regularly track and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaboration: You will work within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care for the best interest of your clients, discussing complex cases to develop comprehensive treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on young adults between the ages of 18 to 30 who are facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and other emotional disturbances. You will provide them with culturally competent care and guidance, helping them navigate challenges during a crucial period in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage clients compassionately and effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with experience working with young adults in an outpatient setting, particularly those familiar with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and holistic treatment approaches. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
