Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role as a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Evaluate and assess patients based on physician referrals, establishing personalized treatment programs that address individual needs and goals.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and modalities aimed at enhancing recovery in orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, actively engaging with patients and ensuring clarity in communication regarding their treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a broader healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes through multidisciplinary approaches and evidence-based care.
• Educate and train patients and their families, empowering them with knowledge to facilitate recovery and prevent future injuries.
• Utilize advanced record-keeping systems and documentation software, maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with state regulations.
• Meet minimum utilization goals and contribute to the financial health of the center while consistently striving to enhance the quality of patient care.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; candidates with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) will be given preference.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida.
• Successful completion of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficient computer skills for documentation and reporting.
