Work Environment

The physical therapist position is located onsite at our spacious rehabilitation center in Jacksonville. The work setting includes a modern, 5,000-square-foot facility featuring dedicated treatment rooms, a well-equipped gym for therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities for rehabilitation. You will be part of a small, close-knit team of physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant, all working together to create a supportive atmosphere that fosters professional growth and patient engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to identify specific objectives and needs.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring individualized treatment plans are designed and implemented.
• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy interventions focusing on orthopedic conditions, enhancing patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and tailored exercise protocols to reduce reliance on medications and promote non-surgical healing.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs that cater to each patient's unique physical capabilities and goals.
• Motivate patients consistently to engage fully in their treatment plans and advocate for a healthier lifestyle.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and address any additional patient needs.
• Thoroughly document all patient care services, including treatment outcomes and evaluation of progress using WebPT electronic medical records software.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on individual response and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We emphasize the importance of patient-centered care, tailoring our approaches to meet the distinct needs and goals of each individual. Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Florida license as a Physical Therapist, maintaining a clear professional record without any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated manual therapy skills and a strong foundation in orthopedic practices.
• Competency in developing and implementing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficient use of WebPT EMR Software for effective documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applications from new graduates, a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting will be preferred. Candidates with a background in sports medicine, manual therapy techniques, or specialized areas of rehabilitation will have an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist role offers an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
