Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Required
• Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or equivalent: Required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification: Required
• At least two years recent experience in the field: Required
• EPIC experience: Required

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients based on established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines.
• Collects and analyzes data pertinent to patients' health and develops care plans with prescribed interventions.
• Implements care plans, evaluates progress towards outcomes, and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Provides health information and learning opportunities for patients and family members.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members.
