Staff Accountant (Public Accounting)

Location: Turtle Creek, PA 15145
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with Public Accounting experience to join a growing accounting firm. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with a diverse client base, supporting accounting, financial reporting, and tax preparation activities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
  
• Prepare and post journal entries
  
• Convert client-provided financial data into trial balances
  
• Assist with the preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements
  
• Prepare tax returns, including:
  
  • Individual (1040)
    
  • Partnership (1065)
    
  • Corporate (1120)
    
• Support clients with bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and general accounting inquiries
  
• Communicate directly with clients and provide exceptional service
  

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of public accounting experience required
  
• Previous experience working within a public accounting firm
  
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
  
• Experience preparing and analyzing trial balances
  
• Ability to prepare multi-entity tax returns (1040, 1065, and 1120)
  
• CPA designation is not required
  

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  
• During tax season (January through April), additional hours may be required

Pay Details: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour
