Senior Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) – Neuroimmunology Senior TLL role at Genentech acts as the lead Commercial enterprise bridge to National & Regional Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs) across Therapeutic Areas, operating as a proactive strategic partner who shapes markets and converts TAE influence into measurable results. Opportunity The Senior TLL enables demand and patient access by serving as a trusted connection to priority TAEs, translating scientific insights into commercial execution, and shaping TA narratives that drive belief, standard of care, and competitive positioning. Key success metrics include accelerated speed to peak for priority launches, TAE engagement, and clear impact on therapeutic area and brand strategy. Key Roles & Responsibilities Establish and foster effective partnerships with TAEs. Enable demand and patient access by influencing TAE perception and advocacy of products through clinical data education. Build trust and accelerate informed decision‑making with TAEs across the lifecycle. Rapidly translate bi‑directional insights into execution by synthesizing TAE feedback, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics to shape TA/brand strategy. Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Global and CE partners; lead cross‑functional alignment. Provide timely clinical data and competitive context to TAE, ensuring compliant misperception resolution. Act with urgency to keep TAEs updated and enable informed advocacy. Maintain end‑to‑end accountability for TAEs in assigned scope. Co‑lead overarching TAE strategy with Medical for brands, indications, and launches. Compliantly manage fee‑for‑service activities involving TAEs. Prioritize engagement based on enterprise criteria to maximize impact. Work autonomously, aligning with product value proposition and squad priorities. Drive KPIs tied to speed to peak, TAE engagement quality, and strategic influence. Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable laws. Travel within designated territories as required for face‑to‑face engagement. Knowledge & Skills Market & customer expertise with deep knowledge of TAEs. Understanding of customer types and how TAEs engage. Ability to educate and challenge TAEs. Strategic & enterprise orientation; ability to partner effectively. Business problem articulation and solution identification. Translate strategy into tactical TAE engagement plans. Cross‑functional project management and stakeholder influence. Comfort in an outcome‑based performance environment. Insight translation and analytic skills. Advanced data interpretation and synthesis. Agility and ability to navigate ambiguous environments. TA influence mapping and network optimization. Non‑clinical & performance marketing fluency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (minimum). Minimum 5 years cross‑functional experience in life sciences or related industry. Graduate level degree preferred. Thought Leader Liaison experience. Experience in commercial or sales functions. Experience shaping marketing strategies. Proven track record in highly competitive therapeutic areas. Consistent achievement of goals and metrics. Experience building and executing action plans and programs. Location & Travel The role is field‑based and requires residency within California, Hawaii, Western Oregon, Seattle, WA, or Alaska. Travel up to 60% by air or car is required. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $162,500 – $301,700, with incentive compensation per the Incentive Compensation Plan.
