Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Every other or third weekend required. Floating within the hospital system is required.

Highlights:

• Specialized PCU setting with adult and geriatric patient population
• Diverse case mix including burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries
• Unique specialized procedures including burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
• First-time travelers accepted; minimum 1 year of PCU or step-down experience required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Pre-approved time off available (one occurrence)

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down unit experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, central line management, wound care, and basic dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with arterial lines, blood product administration, PCA pumps, IV insulin protocols, and surgical drain management preferred
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or charge nurse)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
