Job Description
Title: Certified Nurse Assistant - Long Term Care

Schedule:
- Must be able to start full shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday
- Full Time Evenings (5 shifts of 7.5 hours each)

Assignment Details:
- Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Contract Length: 14 weeks

Requirements:
- New York State Nursing Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI only)
- One (1) year of experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in the care plan, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Maintain a safe environment for residents by addressing call lights promptly, managing safety equipment, and adhering to cleanliness standards.
- Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery and feeding as per their preferences.
- Facilitate residents' rehabilitative needs through prescribed therapies and maintaining proper body alignment.
- Report residents' rights, refusals, and any changes in their physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.

Compliance / Notes:
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated; tasks may involve contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
