Capital Project Manager

We’re looking for a Capital Project Manager (Engineer) who will take ownership of complex manufacturing projects from business case → equipment selection → installation → integration → startup.

You’ll be working directly with Manufacturing Equipment, Vendors, Contractors, Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams around the world and be instrumental in evaluating and transferring manufacturing equipment from Asia and other international locations into U.S. operations.

\n

\n

That means assessing equipment condition and capabilities, determining what needs to be modified for U.S. use, working through layouts and specifications, coordinating installation and integration, and managing the associated capital spend.

This role is ideal for an Engineer who wants to walk through a plant, identify a problem, develop the solution, build the business case, manage the equipment, coordinate the installation, and ultimately watch the production line run because of your work

You’ll be responsible for:

\n

\n
• Complex capital projects from concept through implementation]
\n
• Capital estimates, budgets, forecasts, cash flow & variance tracking
\n
• Business cases, ROI and capital justification
\n
• Equipment selection, specification, relocation & integration
\n
• Installation, contractors, commissioning & startup
\n
• Manufacturing layouts and OEM specifications
\n
• Vendor and Supplier relationships
\n
• Multiple concurrent projects with varying levels of complexity
\n
• Cross-functional teams spanning Engineering, Operations, Finance
\n
• Continuous Improvement, technology implementation & root-cause problem solving
\n

Requirements include:

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
\n
• 5+ years of engineering/project experience in manufacturing or a regulated environment
\n
• Personally led capital projects, not just supported them
\n
• Experience with manufacturing equipment and plant integration
\n
• Strong understanding of project financials and capital budgeting
\n
• Ability to read machine schematics using Solidworks or similar CAD system
\n
• Experience working with contractors and equipment vendors
\n
• The ability to influence across functions without direct authority
\n
• Strong technical problem-solving skills
\n
• Experience with SAP is required
\n
• Familiarity with Coupa is a plus
\n
