Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive assessments of new patients and their families to understand their unique backgrounds and needs.

• Facilitate individual and family therapy sessions tailored to each patient's identified challenges, employing a strengths-based approach.

• Manage administrative responsibilities which include maintaining accurate documentation, submitting billing, and creating individualized treatment plans and insurance authorization forms efficiently.

• Develop crisis intervention strategies, safety plans, and relapse prevention plans to guide patients in maintaining stable functioning during critical moments.

• Create effective discharge plans to aid clients in their transition from therapy, ensuring a continuum of care.

• Adhere strictly to all relevant federal and state laws, regulatory mandates, and NEHS policies to ensure compliance and ethical practice.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education to remain at the forefront of best practices and clinical skills.

• Participate in regular case consultations and agency meetings to enhance collaborative efforts and share insights with colleagues.

• Complete all necessary licensure requirements and mandatory training to ensure personal and professional readiness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse range of clients including adults and families from varying socioeconomic backgrounds, each grappling with unique mental health issues. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field that qualifies for licensure.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW) within the state of Nevada.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, prior experience in outpatient therapy settings, particularly with diverse populations, and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities will be highly regarded. Experience in telehealth or remote counseling is a plus, reflecting the adaptability required in today’s mental health care landscape.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Step Up on Second provides a competitive yearly salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000, commensurate with your license and experience.
