IT Director

Position Overview Director of IT is the senior manager for information technology within Daisy Brand, based in Dallas, Texas. The role focuses on learning the business and identifying opportunities to enhance performance, knowledge, and security while respecting culture and brand protection. Must possess deep technical expertise across IT infrastructure, business intelligence, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and application development. Prior experience in manufacturing environments is essential. Hybrid work model requires onsite presence Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with remote workdays Wednesday and Friday. Responsibilities The Director of IT will collaborate with department heads and guide technology strategy, oversee operations, and support growth initiatives. Operate as a business partner, providing insight on strategic planning, analytics, growth, risk management, and technology leadership. Proactively communicate challenges and recommend solutions. Develop, mentor, and coach a cohesive, business‑focused team. Evaluate, develop, implement, and manage IT projects within timelines. Maintain current projects and technology systems. Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for upgrades. Propose strategic solutions and new systems. Prepare and manage financial budgets and performance reports. Build and maintain relationships with external advisors and vendors. Ensure timely resolution of reported issues. Identify and mitigate security risks. This role may require additional responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 15 years of senior management experience in IT, with at least 10 years supporting manufacturing or industrial environments. Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing technologies, automation, and system integration. Proof of continued education, such as software certifications. Strong knowledge of IT operations, systems, reporting, and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and project management skills.
