Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Demonstrated experience working with middle school students in special education settings
- Knowledge of best practices for supporting students with moderate cognitive impairments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable instructional approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students in a moderately cognitive impaired program, focusing on academic, functional, and social-emotional skill development
- Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with each student’s IEP goals
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and general education staff
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Engage families and caregivers in student learning and goal-setting
