Olyns is looking for a high-energy, results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to produce leads for both our advertising and Cube hosting lines of business. The SDR will work directly with sales leadership to execute outreach efforts into prospects so responses can be followed up with sales executives. The SDR will work closely with marketing and our sales organization to tune content and email messaging that produces the highest response rates leading to secured meetings. Every year 67 million tons of plastic is thrown away and never recycled. It's landfilled, it's incinerated and it pollutes our oceans. Why?

There are many reasons, but it all really boils down to one thing: The business model for recycling is broken. Everyone agrees that there's a problem, but no one can agree on how to pay for the fix.

But consumers really care about the environment. In fact over the past few years, consumers have been putting their money where their mouth is. Sustainability marketed products have grown 7 times faster than regularly marketed ones. And although they still only account for 16% of the CPG market, they account for a massive 55% of its growth.

At Olyns, we're creating a new paradigm for recycling by combining the act of recycling with the sustainability marketing. By leveraging what the Boston Consulting Group recently called the $100B opportunity in retail media, we're providing value for all stakeholders:

  • Consumers get the convenience, incentives and paths to action that they want.
  • Brands get a media channel to align their sustainability message with the action of recycling at a valuable point of sale.
  • Retailers get increased customer visits and spend, and
  • Our planet gets a break from the tons of plastic that would otherwise pollute our environment.

Essential qualifications:

  • 2 years SDR experience in a high volume, accountable sales environment.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot and tools like LinkedIn Sales.
  • Adept at crafting content used in email sequences to execute high scale, accountable email outreach.
  • Skilled at using Google Suite Products to augment HubSpot for tracking leads, content and other metrics.
  • Demonstrable ability to leverage email metrics to iteratively tune content that maximizes results.
  • Self-starter with proven discipline to work remotely without daily oversight to achieve goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A desire to be mentored towards a successful sales career and grow.
  • Experience within the digital advertising sector would be beneficial.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Located in the Chicago, New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles areas.

What you'll do:

  • Execute email outreach efforts into prospects that drive meetings.
  • Manage and iteratively tune the outreach process, learning what messaging tactics work best to score meetings for our sales organization.
  • Create content & scripts used in email outreach efforts using both manual and AI tools to generate content.
  • Research events and online platforms to build a target list of prospects.
  • Maintain accurate data in HubSpot, ensuring accounts, contacts, and deals are updated.
  • Ensure consistent and strategic follow-up on leads and outreach efforts to prevent any opportunities from slipping through the cracks
  • Track and analyze metrics like email open rates and meeting conversion rates to enhance effectiveness.
  • Exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual lead/pipeline targets.
  • Contribute to a dynamic, collaborative team environment where innovation and sustainability drive success.
