What You’ll Do Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and tax documentation Audit and review employee timesheets for accuracy Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Partner closely with HR, Accounting, and operational teams Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end processing Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and urgency Drive process improvements and system enhancements Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee data What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications 2+ years of payroll processing experience Strong knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements Experience with HRIS and payroll systems Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and customer service abilities Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred Qualifications CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification Experience with ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar platforms Multi-state or multi-entity payroll experience Background in logistics, transportation, maritime, or shared services Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field Compensation & Benefits Compensation The salary range is $50,000 to $65,000 annually , with an expected target salary of $60,000 to $62,000 per year . Compensation will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, and specific job duties .
