Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a contract School Social Worker for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, in-person opportunity involves supporting children and adolescents by addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges within a dynamic educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working with school-aged children or in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Empathy, resourcefulness, and organizational skills are essential
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and provide individual and group counseling
- Develop, implement, and monitor social-emotional interventions and support plans
- Crisis intervention and management, including consultations with families and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to ensure student success
- Participate in meetings including IEPs, 504 plans, and problem-solving teams
- Maintain accurate, confidential student records in accordance with regulations
- Provide training and support to staff and families regarding mental health and community resources
