o Experience: 2+ years

o First-time travelers welcome

● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

o Labor

o Gestational DM

o Preeclampsia

o HTN

● Patient Ratios:

o RN: 1:1, 1:2 (AWHONN standards)

o Surgical tech on unit

● Required Licensure & Certifications:

o BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM (AWHONN)

● Skills required:

o Care or mother and baby, delivery of baby

● Support within the Department:

o Surgical Tech

o Charge nurse – may or may not be in staffing

o Phlebotomy – yes

o IV/VAT Team – not available

o Resource Nurse – N/A

o RT 24/7

o Intensivist 24/7 – yes, if needed

o Fetal monitoring on unit

● Technology/Equipment:

o EMR: EPIC

o IV Pump: Baxter

o Med dispensing: Omnicell

o Fetal Heart Monitors: GE

o Unit specific equipment: Novii, Neptune, Bovie, Panda Warmers

● Floating:

o None

o 3 days departmental
