BioMechanics Orthopedics Services Inc. is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic orthopedic outpatient practice in Los Angeles, California. This position is integral to supporting our patients on their journey to recovery, focusing on restoring motion and enhancing functionality. At BioMechanics Orthopedics Services Inc., we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional orthopedic care in our modern, state-of-the-art 5000 square feet facility, designed specifically for sports medicine and rehabilitation. Our practice is dedicated to providing high-quality treatments to individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring that every patient receives the care they need in a supportive atmosphere. Our experienced team consists of two skilled physical therapists and one professional physical therapy assistant (PTA) who share our commitment to patient-centered care.

Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our rehabilitation center in Los Angeles, operating on a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The environment is collaborative and vibrant, encouraging ongoing learning and shared expertise among team members. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, fostering an interdisciplinary approach that emphasizes holistic patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to understand patients' specific needs and establish effective treatment goals.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring high-quality, personalized attention to each patient.
• Develop evidence-based care plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques aimed at enhancing patient mobility.
• Implement individualized exercise programs tailored to the physical capabilities and preferences of each patient.
• Utilize manual therapy skills to alleviate pain and improve physical function, with a focus on minimizing reliance on medications.
• Monitor patient progress consistently, evaluate treatment effects, and maintain transparent communication with patients and their families.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans within our EMR system, such as WebPT, ensuring accurate and updated medical records.
• Work proactively with the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure optimal health outcomes for patients.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive mindset towards recovery.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices by guiding patients on exercises that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is on patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, many of whom are recovering from injuries or surgeries related to sports activities. Our patient population ranges from young athletes to older adults, all seeking to regain their mobility and improve their functional capabilities. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of California, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop tailored exercise routines.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of rehabilitation methodologies.
• A background in sports medicine, enhancing the understanding of athletes' needs and recovery processes.
• Clinical experience that showcases successful patient outcomes through effective treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
