Do you like solving billing problems and interacting with customers? Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage customer accounts, resolve billing issues, and keep receivables moving. You'll take ownership of your accounts and work with internal teams to keep financial records accurate.
Compensation & Highlights:
$23.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience
Contract-to-permanent opportunity
Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Manage assigned customer accounts, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on open receivables.
- Contact customers about past-due invoices, payment questions, and account balances.
- Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies with customers and internal departments.
- Process and reconcile payments and keep customer account records accurate and up to date.
- Review aging reports to set collection priorities and help with AR reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements.
Qualifications of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, or a related accounting function. Recent grads with relevant internships or coursework are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or financial software.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines. ERP, reconciliation, or aging report experience is a plus.
