Accounts Payable Clerk

The Regent Bank Accounts Payable Specialist will assist with reviewing, processing, and approving invoices for markets, departments and affiliates of Regent Bank daily. This position will also manage vendor audits including credit memos and handle other administrative tasks as required by the department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs as required Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors, including responding to vendor inquiries and resolving pricing discrepancies Review, code, and enter incoming vendor bills and expense reports into accounting software Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payments and other charges to ensure accuracy prior to invoice approval Processing invoices and issuing payments via check, electronic ACH, or wire transfer before the due date Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental policies and procedures Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance and recording entries Other duties as assigned Education And/Or Experience: High School Diploma and Associates Degree in General Business Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred Minimum of one (1) year of banking experience preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Familiarity of financial software Detail oriented and ability to work under pressure of deadlines Problem solving and ability to track down and resolve discrepancies or missing documentation All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment background, credit, and drug screening Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Sitting for long periods of time. The working conditions are generally comfortable with minimal exposure to noise, heat, dust and other related items.
