Staff Accountant

Job Title: AP Accountant – Manufacturing Facility Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented AP Accountant to support financial operations at a manufacturing site. This role plays a key part in analyzing complex financial data, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring accurate cost accounting practices. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries for month-end close. Support accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable processes. Assist in maintaining the general ledger and daily bank reconciliations. Maintain detailed balance sheet account reconciliations. Track capital expenditures and fixed assets. Perform cost and pricing analyses; prepare management reports. Ensure accuracy in cost accounting, including cost analysis and allocation. Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) to manage cost accounting records. Reconcile inventory, production, and cost of goods sold accounts. Support inventory cycle counts and resolve discrepancies. Participate in budgeting and forecasting. Perform special projects and other duties as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices. Proficient with ERP systems, QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
