Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 hrs/week) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit setting with a focus on cardiac and step-down level patients
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, cardiogenic shock, CAD, chest pain, congenital heart conditions, and heart transplant status
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips and cardiac medications including Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin drips
• Perform and manage peritoneal dialysis as required by patient care needs
• Accurately identify and interpret cardiac rhythms; clinicians will be required to pass a proctored rhythm identification test upon start (two attempts allowed; not multiple choice)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of IMC/PCU/Step-Down experience within the past 3 years
• Peritoneal dialysis experience required
• Insulin drip management experience required
• Ability to pass a proctored cardiac rhythm identification test upon assignment start
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients with LVADs or post-heart transplant status
• Familiarity with angioplasty patient care and management of cardiogenic shock
