Position Requirements

What You'll Do

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time for all company employees.
• Review and verify employee timesheets, hours worked, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
• Manage federal, state, and multi-state payroll tax processing, filings, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and maintain payroll tax reports and ensure timely payment of all payroll tax liabilities.
• Process employee reimbursements and verify supporting documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee payroll files for reporting, auditing, and compliance purposes.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and payroll-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, labor laws, and company policies.
• Assist with internal and external payroll audits by providing documentation and payroll records as needed.
• Generate payroll reports and support management with payroll-related data and analysis.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience required.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll and payroll tax filings preferred.
• Experience in construction, HVAC, mechanical contracting, or similar industries is a plus.
• Proficiency with payroll software systems; experience with Vista by Viewpoint is highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll tax compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills when interacting with employees, management, and external agencies.
