Job Description The Sales Account Executive is a client‑facing outside sales role operating within an assigned region of the New England states. This role involves identifying and managing client accounts and business opportunities for Eurofins Built Environment Testing Division, which provides Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing for mold, asbestos, Legionella and other environmental services. The Account Executive will travel throughout the region, meet with clients, conduct cold calling, and cultivate existing relationships. Knowledge of indoor air quality testing or other environmental laboratory testing is ideal. This position requires approximately 50% travel within New England. The role is full‑time, Monday – Friday, and is open to candidates residing within the New England states. Responsibilities Maximizing market share, profitability, competitive advantage, and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market. Establish and maintain productive relationships with Eurofins clients. Acquire new accounts to sustain growth by representing Eurofins, clearly communicating services to new customers and markets. Identify opportunities and profitable work by following up on leads, negotiating, and closing. Serve as a customer advocate, communicating customer needs to internal teams and fulfilling that role with management, operations, and technical staff. Meet individual revenue goals and regional quota goals. Maintain productive working relationships between customers and laboratory. Ensure customer awareness of Eurofins Environment Testing capabilities and services to improve selling opportunities. Provide sales plan forecasts for the assigned region. Review credit status of new and existing customers prior to submitting bids or proposals. Monitor accounts receivable status and resolve collection issues as required. Develop and recommend strategies to facilitate pricing and bid/no‑bid decisions, establish Master Service Agreements, and provide budgetary information. Develop client profiles and assess funding potential. Track, qualify, and close leads to increase revenue. Report sales activity within the assigned area. Update customer databases to identify business opportunities. Create and implement account plans detailing specific clients, revenue goals, and related account objectives to attain regional quotas. Identify key target markets and major accounts, developing strategies to attain market position and maintain profitability. Establish, coordinate, negotiate, and complete Master Service Agreements with customers. Collect and document pricing and customer requirement information to evaluate win/loss ratios, discount percentages, and profitability. Communicate customer needs and wants to Customer Service Managers and Project Managers to facilitate successful completion of work. Complete summaries of sales development activities as directed by GM. Document all business opportunities (bids, quotes, proposals, and pricing inquiries) in the Eurofins Environment Testing database. Follow up on all outstanding bids, quotes, proposals, and pricing inquiries to achieve successful completion of the sales cycle. Negotiate pricing and contractual issues with GM’s approval. Present Eurofins Environment Testing as a network of laboratories beyond just local facilities to improve operational efficiencies. Control expenses within the selling function pursuant to policy and GM approval. Act as a “sponsor” for National Accounts as needed. Provide market condition feedback to facilitate development of new products and services. Maintain relationships with Eurofins Environment Testing network facilities to sustain awareness of operational issues. Provide information on business outcome results, win/loss ratios, and future pricing strategies. Provide forecasting information to Customer Service Managers to support operational resource planning. Assist with the development of sales materials. Gather and communicate competitive intelligence within the area of responsibility. Identify and communicate opportunities for new products and services within the assigned region. Qualifications Basic Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Sciences or related field preferred but not required. 2–3 years of progressively successful sales experience in a service industry. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory (approximately 50% travel, with occasional overnight travel). Environmental industry knowledge. Valid driver’s license. The Ideal Candidate Would Possess: Sales skills: prospect identification, interviewing, negotiating, and closing. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Laboratory experience and exposure to environmental industry preferred. Ability to write sales and account plans. Proficiency in computer skills. Familiarity with lab functions and terminology. Analytical and planning skills. Self‑directed and capable of working in an unstructured environment. Additional Information Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Professional working proficiency in English is required, including reading, writing and speaking. Salary Range: minimum of $70,000/year base + Commission with benefits, PTO and company matching 401(k) plan. Salary range may be higher for candidates with specific sales experience in environmental testing, especially Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing. Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes; the actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, skill set, peer comparability, business sector, and geographic location.
