Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Orthopedic Telemetry unit serving patients with joint replacements, fractures, and related orthopedic diagnoses
• Manage a patient assignment of 1:5–6 under the supervision of a Charge Nurse available 24/7
• Monitor telemetry as needed; RNs are not required to independently read rhythm strips
• Collaborate with CNAs (3 per shift, ratio 1:7–8) and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Utilize respiratory therapy equipment (e.g., CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow) on an as-needed basis
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and potential float assignments to adjacent units

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification (must be unexpired)
• Strong orthopedic nursing experience, including Total Joint Replacement (not fractures alone)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination series); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted promptly for review
• Candidate's driver's license address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous employees or travelers must have been separated from this facility for a minimum of 2 years prior to submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working on an orthopedic or orthopedic telemetry unit in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with post-surgical joint replacement patient populations and associated care protocols
• Comfort with floating to similar medical-surgical units as needed
