This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide vital services without the constraints of traditional office settings. However, you will also have opportunities to work in outpatient environments as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Respond to urgent mental health crises in collaboration with law enforcement, guiding them in best practices while assessing individual needs.

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations in the field, employing skills to determine the need for 5150/5585 applications when involuntary detention is warranted.
\n
• Develop personalized action plans for individuals in distress, integrating resources such as hospitalization, outpatient therapy, and community support services.
\n
• Train and mentor law enforcement staff in techniques for effectively addressing mental health crises, aiming to de-escalate situations and reduce reliance on force.
\n
• Provide compassionate and immediate crisis counseling for individuals facing acute mental health challenges, ensuring a supportive approach that respects their dignity and autonomy.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential records of patient interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Coordinate with external entities such as the Department of Mental Health and local psychiatric facilities to facilitate referrals and follow-up care for clients.
\n
• Engage in regular communication with hospitals, community service units, and psychiatrists to ensure a cohesive care experience for each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily supports individuals experiencing mental health crises, including those who have been arrested or are in acute distress. Our clientele often encompasses a diverse range of ages and backgrounds within the Riverside community, including vulnerable populations requiring immediate intervention and longer-term support. As an LPCC with Peaceful Harmony, you will play a crucial role in helping these individuals navigate their recovery journeys, promoting stability and informed decision-making.

Qualifications\n

• Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

• Current certification as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with a variety of stakeholders.

• Professional demeanor with a demonstrated ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.

• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and integrity in handling sensitive information.

Preferred Experience\n
