Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated perioperative nursing care for Pre Op patients following established standards and the nursing process.
• Support, supervise, and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Collect relevant patient data, analyze assessments, and contribute to diagnosis and care planning.
• Implement and coordinate care plans, ensuring patient safety and a healing environment; adjust plans as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care; educate patients and families.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team; provide learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) or as required by the assignment.
• CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor; facility-specific requirements include AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS.
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• Education: BSN preferred.
• Experience: Minimum two years of RN experience preferred; perioperative/acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a short-term acute care setting; shift times may vary and assignments may involve day shifts with no on-call requirements.
• Vaccination compliance per organizational policy.
