As a Float Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care across multiple units, including the Medical Care Unit, Post Surgical Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit. Your ability to prioritize, adapt, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team will ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Applying the nursing process to patient care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
• Teaching patients and their significant others
• Documenting patient care in the medical record
• Responding effectively to patient crisis and emergency situations
• Maintaining regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
• Demonstrating effective teaching skills
• Flexibility in accepting assignments to varied areas with a friendly, helpful attitude

Requirements for this role include:

• Oregon State RN license (must be willing to obtain if not currently active)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Need 2 years experience in Med Surg setting
• Recent (within past 5 years) hospital experience
