The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operational success, and culture of the community while ensuring residents receive exceptional care and services in a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment.
This position oversees all day-to-day community operations including resident satisfaction, financial performance, occupancy growth, regulatory compliance, associate leadership, and quality assurance.
The Executive Director partners closely with department leaders to create a culture that reflects Charter Senior Living’s mission and core values while driving operational excellence and maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, associates, and the local community.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all daily community operations
Drive occupancy growth and support community sales efforts
Manage revenue, expenses, labor, and overall financial performance
Ensure high-quality resident care and customer service
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations
Lead, mentor, and develop department leaders and associates
Foster a positive, engaging, and mission-driven community culture
Build strong relationships with residents, families, referral partners, and community organizations
Support hiring, retention, and associate engagement initiatives
Ensure smooth business office and operational management
Partner with leadership teams to achieve strategic goals and performance targets
Proven experience as an Executive Director within Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living preferred
Strong background in sales, occupancy management, and financial oversight
Experience managing budgets, labor, and operational performance
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Passion for serving seniors and enhancing quality of life
Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced and service-focused environment
Experience opening a new senior living community preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to drive results while maintaining compassionate leadership
