Associate Attorney - Civil and Probate Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level Associate Attorney with over three years of experience in civil and probate litigation for a hybrid role in Torrance, CA or Lake Forest, CA. The ideal candidate will excel in crafting precise arguments and enjoy collaborative problem-solving. Duties Own significant portions of cases while collaborating with senior attorneys. Engage in civil litigation, including general liability defense and breach of contract. Handle probate and trust litigation, such as will contests and conservatorships. Draft and argue both dispositive and non-dispositive motions. Manage written discovery and conduct depositions. Litigate cases through trial. Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel. Requirements 3+ years of litigation practice in civil and/or probate law. Proficiency in discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case strategy. Education: J.D. degree. Certifications: Active California bar membership. Skills: Excellent research and writing abilities; strong organizational skills and courtroom presence; curious, collaborative, and calm under pressure.
