Associate Attorney

Overview A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney in Hermosa Beach, California, offering a hybrid work schedule. This position involves managing a diverse range of civil litigation matters, providing opportunities to work on complex cases with direct client interaction and significant responsibility. Duties Manage civil litigation matters in areas such as employment, commercial disputes, professional liability, premises liability, and directors and officers defense. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Take and defend depositions. Draft and respond to discovery requests. Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support. Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and site inspections. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience. Experience in employment or commercial litigation preferred. Ability to handle multiple phases of litigation. Willingness to travel locally as required. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in California.
