Seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide impactful services for high school students throughout the full academic year. This onsite role offers a rewarding opportunity to support student success in a school setting near Sunnyvale, CA. The position is full-time, with a commitment of 37.5 hours a week, working closely with a high school caseload for the duration of the 22/23 school year.
Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Previous exposure to OT in home health, teletherapy, and healthcare environments is a plus
- Proven skills in developing and implementing individualized care and therapy plans
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Comfort working with high school students from diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite OT services, assessing and addressing students’ needs as part of their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Design and conduct activities and interventions to foster students’ functional independence
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation and progress reports
- Consult with teaching staff, families, and other professionals to ensure integrated support
- Adapt and modify materials and environments to promote accessibility
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal planning and achievement tracking
