Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the initial consultation through to treatment discharge.

• Craft comprehensive treatment plans based on individualized assessments, considering the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Lead therapeutic sessions, employing various evidence-based interventions to facilitate healing and growth.

• Track and document client progress towards their recovery goals, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to ensure cohesive and integrated care.

• Assist in coordinating referrals to additional services and resources, ensuring clients have access to a broader support network.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them understand and manage mental health challenges.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in psychotherapy practices and maintain adherence to established best practices defined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve adults facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues. Our clients often seek help in a virtual format, and your role will be crucial in accommodating their needs while providing high-quality, focused care. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients will be essential in establishing trust and rapport.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A successful passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms, is highly desirable.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compassionately.

• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, patience, and active listening abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a mental health counseling role, with a demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively.

• Knowledge or experience working with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions.

• Familiarity with addiction disorders and applicable treatment strategies.

• An understanding of the physiological impacts of medications commonly prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by a competitive benefits package.
