Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

• Proactively reaching out to patients and members through phone, text, chat, email, and other digital channels to engage them in healthcare programs, services, and recommended care.
• Building rapport quickly across different communication channels, identifying barriers, and using empathy and influence to motivate patients to take action.
• Educating patients about gaps in care, preventive services, screenings, medication adherence, and other opportunities to improve their health.
• Helping patients navigate healthcare, including scheduling appointments, understanding next steps, and connecting with resources.
• Managing both outbound and inbound interactions while adapting your communication style to the patient and the channel.
• Using technology and digital tools to communicate, research, document, and manage patient interactions accurately.
• Collaborating with other teams to resolve patient needs and improve the patient experience.
• Working toward individual and team goals for outreach, engagement, quality, and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

What you'll need for success in this exciting opportunity

• Experience proactively communicating with customers or patients across multiple channels, including phone, text, chat, email, or other digital platforms.
• The confidence and persistence to initiate outbound conversations, build trust quickly, and keep people engaged across different communication channels.
• The ability to influence and encourage others to take action through both verbal and written communication while remaining empathetic and patient-focused.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, customer service, a contact center, patient/member services, health insurance, pharmacy, a medical office, or a related environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your style, tone, and approach based on the individual and communication channel.
• Familiarity with healthcare terminology and how patients navigate areas such as benefits, providers, prescriptions, appointments, or preventive care.
• Strong computer and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly learn and work across multiple technologies, systems, and digital communication tools.
• The ability to work toward measurable goals, apply feedback, and adapt to changing processes and priorities.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.

What will really make you stand out

• Experience in a healthcare contact center, patient/member services, health insurance, pharmacy, or healthcare navigation.
• Experience with high-volume outbound outreach, patient engagement, appointment scheduling, enrollment, retention, or other work requiring influence.
• Knowledge of health insurance, preventive care, gaps in care, HEDIS, care management, population health, or value-based care.
• Experience with CRM, EHR, call center, AI-enabled, omnichannel communication, or other healthcare technology.
• Bilingual language skills or additional healthcare education, training, or certification.

Additional Information

The base pay range for this role is between $20 - $22 per hour paid bi-weekly

All full-time employees of Guidehealth who work 30 hours per week or more are eligible for our comprehensive benefits package. Temporary employees and contractors are not eligible for benefits.

COMPENSATION:

The listed compensation range listed is paid bi-weekly per our standard payroll practices. Final base pay decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.

This position is responsible for following all Security policies and procedures in order to protect all PHI and PII under Guidehealth’s custodianship as well as Guidehealth Intellectual Properties. REMOTE WORK TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS


Guidehealth is a fully remote company. We provide new employees with the necessary equipment to function in their role at no charge to the employee. Employees provide their own internet connection, capable of conducting video calls on camera and connecting to various internal and external systems. The required internet speed is a minimum of 100 mbps download, 10 mbps upload. Please run a speed test here to confirm your internet connection meets these requirements.
