BUILDINGS MAINTENANCE MANAGER (CLASS CODE 2413)

Responsibilities Direct a large group of skilled workers in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all climate control systems and related equipment in city‑owned buildings. Perform additional related work as required. Requirements Original High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, including building and grounds maintenance. At least three (3) years of supervisory experience with responsibility for budget preparation and development. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a closely related field may substitute for four years of non‑supervisory experience. Ability to verify education credentials and provide original documents at the start date. Position includes a one‑year probationary period and a required entrance examination. Successful completion of the rating of training and experience (weighted 100%) is also required.
