Part-Time Hr Generalist

This flexible role is a great fit for an experienced HR professional who may be in a retirement era, pausing a traditional full-time career for caregiving or family responsibilities, or simply looking to contribute meaningful expertise on a part-time basis.

Join Reserve Squad as a Reservist to provide broad HR generalist support across payroll processing, recruiting coordination, and new hire onboarding. This is a hybrid opportunity averaging approximately 10 hours per week, mostly remote, with one day per week in the Cincinnati office — Wednesdays preferred.

The ideal candidate brings well-rounded HR operations experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across multiple HR functions in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Required/Preferred Experience

• Must have experience with ADP
• Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience, with significant payroll exposure required
• Prior experience in HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Operations, or Payroll Specialist roles
• Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting — job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer management
• Solid working knowledge of end-to-end employee lifecycle processes — onboarding, status changes, offboarding, and recordkeeping
• Familiarity with HR compliance fundamentals — I-9 verification, employee classification, and maintaining accurate HR records
• Experience supporting or administering employee benefits, including open enrollment coordination and general employee inquiries
• Comfort navigating HRIS platforms beyond ADP (experience with applicant tracking systems a plus)
• Strong organizational skills and comfort working independently across multiple HR functions
• Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion
