Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through initial client interviews, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, synthesizing findings to inform the development of individualized treatment plans.
\n
• Formulate and implement appropriate intervention strategies for a variety of populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote healing and personal growth.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and evolving client needs.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including mental health specialists, primary care physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
\n
• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and medical professionals to stay informed regarding any medications impacting client mental health.
\n
• Proactively identify barriers to recovery, offering support and resources to both clients and their families as they navigate mental health challenges.

• Assist family members and caregivers in understanding and managing complex mental health dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from adolescents to adults who face a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• Possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Achieve a passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrate a strong foundation of previous experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• Exhibit proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate and efficient documentation of client care.
\n
• Display familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Possess a deep understanding of mental health conditions, including co-occurring physical health issues and substance use disorders.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in group therapy facilitation and individual counseling.

• Expertise in crisis intervention and emergency mental health situations.

• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding the implications of sociocultural factors on mental health.

• Strong background in utilizing evidence-based practices in therapy.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that foster empathy and trust within client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
