Work Environment\n

This role allows for a flexible work environment, primarily conducted remotely, while also supporting our outpatient office operations. You will work Monday through Friday, with a structured schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of elderly clients to identify specific psychological and emotional needs.

• Provide individualized and group counseling sessions, employing effective therapeutic techniques to help clients cope with issues related to aging and loss.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, social workers, and caregivers, to develop integrated treatment plans tailored to the unique circumstances of each client.

• Offer educational sessions for families and healthcare staff to foster a deeper understanding of mental health issues among seniors, enhancing overall support for clients.

• Facilitate grief counseling for individuals and families experiencing the challenges of loss, focusing on end-of-life decisions and emotional closure.

• Design and implement cognitive stimulation and mental health interventions aimed at maintaining or improving cognitive function among elderly clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on seniors experiencing a variety of mental health issues. These may include depression, anxiety, elements of PTSD, and challenges arising from chronic illness or grief. The geriatric population often faces unique psychological needs that require culturally competent, patient-centered counseling approaches to ensure each individual feels understood and supported.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Must hold a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 65,000 to USD 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
