Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing mental health counselors to engage with clients in a setting that promotes comfort and ease. The telehealth framework utilizes user-friendly digital platforms to conduct therapy sessions, enabling flexible scheduling and meeting the diverse needs of our clients. Counselors will be expected to maintain a structured schedule, providing care from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver personalized individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on issues such as grief, loss, and emotional struggles associated with aging.

• Guide families and caregivers in understanding mental health strategies that can positively influence the emotional and psychological well-being of elderly individuals.

• Facilitate grief and loss counseling, providing support for seniors and their families as they navigate end-of-life issues and the emotional turmoil that can accompany them.

• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs aimed at enhancing mental acuity, using evidence-based interventions to support seniors in maintaining their cognitive health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves the geriatric population, addressing mental health issues that arise from aging, lifelong experiences, and significant life changes. Counselors will work with clients who may be dealing with chronic illnesses, transitions to assisted living, loss of loved ones, and other challenges intrinsic to aging. A deep understanding and sensitivity to the unique backgrounds and needs of diverse seniors will be crucial in fostering a supportive counseling environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
