Consolidation Accountant (3 days in office) Job Title: Consolidation Accountant An operating entity comprised of over 20 separate companies that roll up into a multinational organization is seeking a Consolidation Accountant. This is a newly created role that requires three days per week in the office. The position will be primarily focused on balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting, while also serving in a consultative capacity to the Legal Entity Controllers to ensure financial statements are compliant with U.S. GAAP. Key Responsibilities Prepare consolidated financial statements for multiple entities, including both domestic and international operations Perform intercompany reconciliations and record corrective entries as needed Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations across all accounts Review elimination entries to ensure accuracy and completeness Report consolidated financial results to the parent company, including supporting commentary Provide schedules and supporting documentation to external auditors Support the consolidation process for entities operating on different general ledger systems Utilize Excel extensively to reconcile data currently extracted from multiple GL systems Assist in process improvements as the company completes the final stages of a system implementation that will automate portions of the consolidation and reconciliation process Note: Exposure to foreign currency translation and transaction adjustments is a plus but not required. Training on calculations and journal entries will be provided by management.
